It looks like the rumors were true after all!
After rumors about a Mario-themed celebration were on the way, Nintendo took to a 35th Super Mario Bros Themed Nintendo Direct on Sept 3rd, 2020 to announce an abundance of Mario games and goodies galore in honor of everyone’s favorite plumber.
Among these announcements was Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a 3-in-1 collection that includes HD versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy.
The collection will include updated Joy-Con controls (with a rumble feature), improved picture resolution, and a music player mode, in which players can listen to music from “all three games, a total of 175 tracks in all“.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars is currently available for pre-order and will launch on September 20th, 2020 as a limited release until the end of March 2021.
