Parasite Just Made Academy Award History

It looks like Bong Joon Hung’s 2019 darkly satirical thriller, Parasite just crawled its way into the Academy Award history books.

At the 92nd Academy Awards (alternatively known as The Oscars), Parasite won four awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film.

This is a spectacular feat as Parasite is the first South Korean as well a non-English language film to ever win at the Academy Awards (let alone be recognized at the Academy Awards)

Parasite follows a working-class family’s steady invasion into an upper-class family’s lives and the misfortune that ensues.

Upon its release, the film was universally lauded and soon gained recognition for audiences, critics and award ceremonies worldwide.

Fans of the film, especially ones from South Korea are rather excited, to say the least.

Parasite is now available to own or rent on Dvd, Blu-Ray and Digital

Did you tune into the Oscars? Were you excited about Parasite’s historic win or were you rooting for another film? Let us know in the comment section below!
