DC Comics has announced that as of Tuesday, April 28, they will be resuming distribution of a limited number of weekly comic titles. It was March 23, when the world’s largest comics distributor, Diamond Comic Distributors, announced a halt on the weekly distribution of comics amid the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
Among the announced titles for distribution were: Batman, Daphne Byrne, The Green Lantern Season 2, Justice League and more. These titles will also be available digitally.
Marvel has yet to announce if they will follow DC Comic’s lead as Diamond Distributor’s hiatus continues for the foreseeable future.

Before DC commences distribution, many creators have been seeking other ways of aiding local retailers. Creators 4 Comics held auctions on Twitter to benefit the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BICN) and aid local comic retailers affected. The auctions took place from Wednesday, April 15, 2020, to Monday, April 20, 2020, with over 100 creators participating.
Creators 4 comics were started by creators Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-man), Gwenda Bond (Stranger Things: Suspicious Minds), Kami Garcia (Teen Titans: Raven), Sam Humphries (Green Lanterns) and Phil Jimenez (Wonder Woman). The BINC will begin aid for local comic retailers at the end of April.
Please contact your local comic shop for further information including pull lists, roadside pickups, mail orders or any other services they may offer at this time.
